Tanzanian Clients Visit MAXTECH Factory: Custom Spreader Production Wins Recognition

July 23th, a delegation of Tanzanian clients paid a two-day visit to MAXTECH's factory for inspection. The core purposes of this visit were clear: first, to conduct an on-site inspection of the production progress and quality control of the container spreaders custom-made for them; second, to conduct in-depth discussions on a new batch of marine crane procurement projects, laying the foundation for large-scale cooperation between the two parties in the future. From the production workshop to the assembly site, from custom products to a full range of solutions, every stop and question of the clients reflected their attention to and expectation for the cooperation.

Custom Container Spreaders: Quality in Every Detail
Guided by MAXTECH’s production team, the delegation first toured the steel structure workshop, where 20-foot and 40-foot custom spreaders were in welding. “These use Q3550 high-strength steel, with 30% higher yield strength than standard models, handling 28-ton full containers effortlessly,” explained technicians, presenting material test reports verifying compliance with strict standards.
In the assembly workshop, workers installed anti-sway cylinders on spreader frames. Outside the painting booth, two nearly finished spreaders in the client-specified orange stood out. “Our three-layer coating (sandblasting + epoxy primer + polyurethane topcoat) resists salt spray for over 1,500 hours—ideal for Tanzania’s humidity,” said staff, demonstrating quick 0.5-second locking on a test bench, impressing the delegation.

The assembly areafeatured cranes in various stages. Clients focused on a Port Crane bound for Africa, learning its imported slewing bearings undergo 3 precision checks (perpendicularity ≤0.5mm/m). “This meets our high-intensity needs,” they noted, photographing details.
At the testing zone, a spreader lifted a 28-ton simulated container, completing 360° rotations and translations flawlessly. When clients requested anti-drop alarms, technicians promised swift adjustments, reinforcing confidence.
