Rooted in Africa, Moving with Love – MAXTECH's Charity Visit to a Children's Welfare Home in Luanda, Angola

2026-07-07

In the wave of globalisation, MAXTECH not only brings high-quality Chinese-made equipment to the world, but also spreads Chinese corporate humanitarian care to every corner it touches. Recently, during a routine after-sales service visit in Luanda, Angola, the MAXTECH team made a special trip to a local children's welfare home to gain a deep understanding of the children's actual needs and actively coordinated with domestic resources to provide targeted support. This cross-continental act of kindness is a vivid illustration of MAXTECH's brand going global while resonating deeply with local values.

A Visit That Touched the Heart

Angola is the second-largest oil producer in Africa, yet behind its booming petroleum economy, child poverty remains a severe issue. Statistics show that there are approximately 1.5 million orphans across the country; in the capital, Luanda, over 2,700 children live on the streets. During their visit to a children's welfare home in Luanda, the MAXTECH team was moved by what they saw – the facility, designed to accommodate 250 children, was actually housing 457, far beyond its capacity. Many of the children had been brought there due to family poverty, loss of parents, or abandonment, with the youngest being just two years old. The daily necessities of the home rely largely on donations from the government, businesses, and kind-hearted individuals, and the living conditions are quite basic.

The clear, hopeful eyes of the children, longing for love and care, deeply touched the MAXTECH team. "They were already very weak when they were found," – the judge of the welfare home's words lingered in everyone's minds long after the visit.

Targeted Support with Domestic Resources

Following the visit, the MAXTECH team carefully documented the home's actual needs – from food and stationery to daily necessities – each item essential to the children's daily well-being and healthy growth. Child welfare institutions in Angola generally face resource shortages, with many children still reliant on external support for food and education. MAXTECH acted swiftly, actively engaging domestic supply chain partners and caring enterprises to jointly launch a targeted fundraising and material preparation campaign. From needs assessment to procurement and cross-border logistics coordination, every step was carried out with precision and efficiency.

As is often said among Chinese enterprises engaging in charitable work in Angola: "This is not just a material donation; it is a manifestation of the heartfelt connection between the people of China and Angola." MAXTECH understands that true philanthropy is not mere material transfer, but effective help built on a deep understanding of real needs.

Going Global with Shared Local Values

MAXTECH's business development in Angola is not an isolated commercial endeavour, but a long-term commitment to deep integration with the local community. In recent years, an increasing number of Chinese enterprises have been fulfilling their social responsibilities in Angola – from renovating school buildings to donating desks, chairs and daily necessities, from caring for street children to assisting impoverished families – the philanthropic footprint of Chinese companies spans across Angola. As noted by H.E. Zhang Bin, Chinese Ambassador to Angola, Chinese enterprises in Angola actively fulfil their social responsibilities and care for public welfare, making positive contributions to deepening China-Angola friendship.

MAXTECH's charity initiative at the Luanda children's welfare home is a continuation and practice of this philosophy. As a Chinese enterprise specialising in marine and port equipment, every overseas expansion by MAXTECH is not merely an export of products and technology, but also a transmission of brand warmth and social responsibility. On this continent of promise, MAXTECH is proving with concrete action that genuine brand globalisation means sharing the same breath and destiny with local communities, resonating with their core values.

Love Does Not Stop Here

This visit to the Luanda children's welfare home is just the beginning. MAXTECH will continue to monitor social needs in Angola and other overseas markets, establishing a regular mechanism for international charitable activities. In the future, the company plans to focus on areas such as education support, health care, and community development, partnering with more domestic and international collaborators to extend MAXTECH's love to more corners in need.

Acts of kindness know no borders, and great love warms every heart. On the path of internationalisation, MAXTECH aspires not only to be a trusted equipment manufacturer, but also a corporate citizen with a caring heart – ensuring that the hard power of "Made in China" and the soft touch of Chinese corporate responsibility shine together on the world stage.
