Sep 16th, the 100KN electric winch tailor-made by MAXTECH for an Egyptian customer has completed the entire production and inspection process and was officially dispatched to the Port of Alexandria, Egypt. As core equipment customized by MAXTECH to meet the customer’s needs for port cargo transfer and ship mooring operations, the winch took only two months from demand communication and scheme design to production and delivery, winning the customer’s recognition with efficient response and precise adaptation.

It is reported that the Egyptian customer has long been engaged in port operations and maritime engineering services along the Mediterranean coast. In the previous equipment upgrade, they were in urgent need of electric winches with both high load capacity and stable performance for scenarios such as short-distance container transfer, heavy cargo traction, and ship berthing mooring. After multiple investigations and comparisons, the customer finally chose to cooperate with MAXTECH, mainly considering MAXTECH’s technical accumulation and customized service capabilities in the field of electric winches.
The 100KN electric winch shipped this time is a customized product developed by MAXTECH in combination with the harsh environment of high temperature and high salt spray at Egyptian ports, with prominent core advantages:
1. In terms of performance adaptation, the equipment has a rated pull force of 100KN, equipped with a high-power variable frequency motor and a high-precision reduction mechanism. It can realize stepless adjustment of traction speed from 0 to 15m/min, which can not only meet the stable traction of heavy cargo but also adapt to the rapid transfer of light materials, fully matching the customer’s multi-scenario operation needs.
2. In terms of environmental adaptability, it adopts an IP67 protection design. Key components have undergone anti-corrosion coating and sealing treatment, which can effectively resist the erosion of high salt spray and strong ultraviolet rays in the Mediterranean; the motor is equipped with a high-temperature heat dissipation system, which can operate continuously and stably even in extreme high-temperature environments above 45℃, greatly reducing the risk of equipment failure.
3. In terms of safety assurance, it integrates multiple protection mechanisms: a standard overload protection device that automatically cuts off power and shuts down when the load exceeds 110% of the rated value; an emergency brake switch and limit position stopper are added to quickly respond to emergencies and ensure the safety of operators and operating materials.

To ensure the product meets the customer’s expectations, MAXTECH invited the customer’s technical representatives to check the progress via video link during the production process, focusing on confirming key links such as motor performance testing and anti-corrosion coating adhesion testing. At the end of last month, the customer entrusted a third-party testing agency to conduct on-site acceptance of the finished product. All parameters of the equipment met the contract standards, and the acceptance document was signed smoothly. Subsequently, MAXTECH quickly coordinated logistics resources, customized reinforced packaging for the precision components of the equipment, and followed up the sea freight customs declaration process throughout to ensure the safe and efficient delivery of the equipment.
The person in charge of MAXTECH’s Overseas Marketing Department stated that as an important shipping hub in the Mediterranean region, Egypt has prominent demands for the reliability and adaptability of maritime equipment. The successful delivery of this 100KN electric winch is another practice of MAXTECH’s customized equipment adapting to the Middle East and Africa market. In the future, MAXTECH will continue to focus on the operating environment and demand characteristics of customers in different regions, optimize the performance configuration of core products such as electric winches and lifting equipment, further expand the overseas market service network, and provide more competitive maritime equipment solutions for global customers.
