Good news!MAXTECH Ships New Batch of Custom Grabs Overseas
2025-09-28
Last week, MAXTECH’s production base bustled with activity as a new batch of custom-made grabsfor overseas clients, having completed final inspection and packaging, set sail aboard cargo vessels. This shipment includes multiple types of Grabs such as mechanicalorange-peel grabs and clamshell grabs, which will be deployed in core scenarios like bulk cargo terminals and mine transshipment in the client’s country—once again demonstrating MAXTECH’s technical strength in grab equipment and its recognition in the international market.
It is learned that the overseas client has long been engaged in port loading/unloading and transportation of bulk materials such as coal and ore. Previously, the aging of existing equipment led to a decline in operational efficiency, creating an urgent need for new grabs suitable for high-wear, high-frequency operations. After multiple inspections and comparisons, the client ultimately chose to cooperate with MAXTECH, primarily valuing its customized R&D capabilities and mature overseas delivery experience.
To accurately meet the client’s needs, MAXTECH’s technical team conducted an in-depth analysis of local material characteristics, Crane parameters, and operating environments: Targeting the high hardness and abrasiveness of the materials, Hardox wear-resistant steel was used to manufacture the grab bodies and cutting edges, extending the service life by over 40% compared to conventional products; Considering the high temperature and humidity climate at the client’s terminal, the hydraulic system (for hydraulic grabs) adopted IP67-level sealing protection, with key electrical components additionally coated with anti-corrosion layers to ensure stable equipment operation; Meanwhile, the grab volume and grabbing ratio were customized according to the crane’s rated load, increasing the single grab capacity by 15% and effectively matching the client’s demand for efficient loading/unloading.
In the production and delivery process, MAXTECH strictly controlled quality throughout: DNT testing was used to ensure no defects in welded parts, and load testing was conducted to verify the grab’s load-bearing performance. All products comply with the industry standards of the client’s country and international maritime regulations. To ensure delivery timeliness, the production department optimized the scheduling plan, completing the entire process from scheme confirmation to finished product delivery in only 45 days; The logistics team customized reinforced packaging, coordinated professional maritime resources, and followed up on customs declaration and transportation links throughout to ensure the safe arrival of the equipment.
“The overseas market’s requirements for the adaptability and reliability of grab equipment are becoming increasingly stringent, and the products delivered this time are a reflection of our R&D philosophy of ‘taking the client’s scenario as the core’,” said the person in charge of MAXTECH’s overseas business. In recent years, the company’s grab products have been exported to Southeast Asia, Africa, South America and other regions, widely used in ports, mines, metallurgy and other fields. In the future, MAXTECH will continue to optimize the wear resistance and intelligent control level of grabs, improve its overseas service network, and provide more competitive bulk material handling solutions for global clients.
